This year, we gave three lucky vloggers the chance to bag as much as possible for university using £100! From practical essentials to all-important accessories, we loved seeing what they chose, and we used each of their shopping sprees to create a shopping list so you can steal their style.
First to go is Cerys Davis. She became a huge fan of wilko when she moved from north Wales to England to start uni a year ago, Cerys jumped at the chance to see what she could buy for £100. Check out Cerys’s haul below, or scroll down to shop the products.
Hanging Shelf Storage – Perfect for creating extra shelf space in your bedroom or kitchen. £3.00
Over the Door Towel Rail – Ideal for tea towels. Cerys also suggests putting it over your own cupboard door so no one gets confused with whose tea towels are whose. Fab idea! £2.00
Dish Drainer – Use to replace the crummy dish drainer often supplied in student accommodation. Plus it means you don’t have to do the drying up straight away. Win, win! £2.00
World Cork Board – If you’re moving into your own home and not halls, one of the downsides is not having a corkboard in your room. This item is perfect for vouchers, flyers, photos and other bits and pieces. You could even use it as a piece of artwork or to pinpoint the places you’ve been to or want to visit. £6.00
Faux Mongolian Green Cushion – Drawn to this because it looks a bit like moss, Cerys feels this cushion enhances the natural, green look she’s using alongside a neutral pallette. £6.00
Herringbone Throw Duck Egg – Cerys saw this teamed up with the above cushion in wilko and loved the combo. £8.00
Vintage Pendant Grey – Again, not something you’ll need if you’re living in student accommodation, but if you’re living in a student house this item’s perfect for making a room your own. £10.00
Jewellery Dish – A must-have if you wear lots of rings or earrings and are always losing them! £2.00
Rope Lantern – Although not the exactly the same as the one Cerys picked, this rope lantern’s perfect for candles or to introduce some rustic style into your bathroom. £10.00
Angle Task Lamp Copper – Great for getting the ideal lighting and for introducing on-trend copper into your room. £18.00
Botanica Cosmetic Mirror – Ideal for continuing the copper theme, especially with its illuminating and magnifying features. £10.00
Glass Latte Mug – Just the job for an iced coffee. £1.00
Photo Rope Kit – A DIY project, ideal for adding some photos to your room in artistic style. £1.50
Binder Clips – Cerys has a really cool tip on how you can use these to tidy up wires, chargers etc, as well as your work. £0.75
It’s pretty impressive what you can buy for £100 from wilko, isn’t it? We’d love to hear your thoughts on what Cerys bought and what your own student faves are – get in touch with us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
