But don’t worry if you missed the action – we’ve got you covered with a round-up of her top takeaway hair styling tips!
How can I get rid of frizz?
Whether your hair is fine or thick, everyone’s tresses suffer from a little frizz from time to time – and the hot weather doesn’t help! To keep hair under control, be sure not to handle your hair too much when styling as this can disrupt hair shaft causing it to frizz. However, when it comes to product a lightweight serum applied to the lengths and ends should be top of your list for a glossy, frizz free look.
How do I keep my hair in good condition if I style my hair with heat?
Heat styling can really take its toll on your locks, so it’s important to repair and protect them. I recommend deep conditioning your hair once a week – once applied, wrap hair in a towel and leave for at least 30 minutes or sleep in it overnight. Follow this up by spraying hair with a protective heat spray each time, before styling.
I’m thinking about colouring my hair for the first time, how should I choose my colour?
The golden rule when choosing a hair colour product is to stay within two shades of your natural colour and stick to a semi-permanent for your first colour. Next, consider your skin tone – for example, you’ll often find that those with darker or more olive tones suit rich browns as opposed to lighter shades. Finally think about the kind of tone you want to go for, golden, red, neutral?
My hair often goes flat after washing, how can I give it more volume?
The holy grail of hair questions! I swear by a voluminising spray – apply it to the roots, then using a comb, lift the hair and blow dry underneath in sections. When the hair is dry spritz with some hair spray but be sure to tip your head upside-down and spray up into your hair. Day two is a little trickier but a dry shampoo is great for getting rid of any greasiness and gives it a little oomph too.
