Layer the below ingredients into a jar starting with the top ingredient:
- 85g plain flour
- 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 250g porridge oats
- 1tsp ground cinnamon
- 100g chopped, dried apricot
- 1tbsp chopped stem ginger
- 80g dried sour cherries
Seal the jar and attach a large tag with the below method:
- Heat oven to 180C/fan 160C/gas mark 4
- Warm 175g butter, 175g demerara sugar and 100g golden syrup in a large saucepan
- Stir in all of the dried ingredients from the jar and leave to cool
- Shape the mixture into 18 large balls, flatten and place onto baking parchment
- Bake for 15-20 mins, allow to cool and enjoy
