Halloween make-up needn’t be scary…blood-red lips and gothic-inspired eyes can be more glam than gory if you choose your products wisely! To get the look, follow Collection‘s advice and take the fear out of this bold make-up look with their handy how-to guide:
Step 1 – Base
After cleansing and moisturising the skin, prep with a long-lasting base such as Colour Match Foundation. Smooth the product all over the face and blend seamlessly into the neck and hairline using a foundation brush. Conceal any blemishes using beauty blogger favourite (drum roll please!)…Lasting Perfection Concealer. To keep that slightly ghoulish pale complexion, skip bronzer and blusher and set the look in place with the Pressed Powder.
Step 2 – Eyes
You can really afford to vamp up your eye make-up look at Halloween, so go for it! Prep the look by covering the whole lid with a wash of Eyeshadow Pencil in Midnight Glamour – this will act like a primer. Using a fluffy brush, softly blend this all over the lid using a windscreen wiper motion. Follow with the Eyes Uncovered Palette in Nude Grey. Start by blending shades 4 and 5 and press into the crease of the eyelid to add definition, build up the colour as desired then blend into the crease. With a clean brush gently press shade 3 on to the remainder of the eyelid to brighten the eyes. Finish by applying a tiny amount of shade 1 on the inner corner of the eyes and on the brow bone to highlight.
Add some drama with Fast Stroke Eyeliner in Black – add a feline flick to really open the eyes. Keep your line tight to the lash line and build thickness as desired. For a sprinkle of sparkle, top the liquid line with a line of Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner in Glitz. Finish with two coats of Big Fake Curves Mascara in Ultra Black for vampy, voluminous lashes!
Step 3 – Lips
Prep the lips with a moisturising lip balm; try Pink Strawberry to prevent lipstick bleeding and for super long wear. Follow with a primer coat of Lasting Colour Lipstick in Poppy Glam then blot with a tissue. Follow with a second coat and then top up as required – hello luscious lips!
Step 4 – Nails
Complete the look with some ghoulish green nails…start by applying 2 in 1 Top and Base Coat followed by two coats of Lasting Gel Colour Nail Polish in Poison Ivy then seal in the colour with another coat of the 2 in 1 polish to extend its wear.
Your vampy Halloween look is now complete! Get out and trick or treat in style this year!
