Dress to Impress with Creepy Costumes

Before organising the finer details of your Halloween party, it’s a must that you as the hosts are dressed to impress. For the ultimate in traditional Gothic horror, choose our Dracula costume, and nail the creepy look with our Vampire make-up. For the ladies, step away from that safe cat or witch costume you wear every year, and choose something to make you stand out from the crowd. We love the Team Zombie Cheerleader outfit for a real touch of American high-school horror. Intensify your look with some clever Halloween make-up.

For the kids, we absolutely adore;

Food Prep

Make sure all your food prep is done in advance so you can spend more time partying on the night! Serve a cold buffet that you can easily prepare before the big day, but make it a buffet with a difference by serving up spooky Halloween-themed treats. Our Skeleton Cookie recipe is sure to be a hit with all your guests:

Skeleton Cookies – Serves 12

Ingredients:
125g Margarine
100g Soft brown sugar
300g Sieved plain flour
25g Dark cocoa powder
4tbsp Light condensed milk
1tsp Bicarbonate of soda
3tsp Ground ginger
Icing to decorate
Gingerbread Man Cookie Cutter

Method:
Preheat the oven to 180°C, 350°F or Gas Mark 4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a pan over a medium heat, melt the margarine, brown sugar and condensed milk. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
Combine the remaining dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl then add in your cooled wet ingredients. Bring the mixture together with a wooden spoon, then get your hands in and finish binding with your fingers.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to the thickness of approximately a pound coin and cut shapes out.
Bake for 10 – 15 mins.
Cool on a wire rack, and when completely cooled pipe on spooky skeleton outlines.

Potent Potions

Create a petrifying punch with your favourite ingredients and display on the side in our skull drinks dispenser for guests to help themselves to. Impress the adults by making your own homemade cider – it’s easy when you know how, and with our handy kit, it can be made just 48 hours before the big night! Serve up your deliciously gruesome drinks in our skull beer glasses and pumpkin jars for the ultimate Halloween concoctions.

Demonic Decorations

Dress your house up with a mixture of decorations that will both shock and delight! For some life-like creepiness, invite some guests from beyond the grave by hanging up our Skeleton Bride and Groom. For a piece that will wow and draw crowds, choose our Tic Toc Animated Clock. This clock really isn’t your average clock, though – it has a menacing ticking sound, defies normal time rules and has an even more terrifying finale that your guests will not be prepared for! Turn off the main lights and create a spooky atmosphere by hanging these ghost fairy lights around your house. The party table will always be the centrepiece, so make it as spooky as possible with our Bloody Tablecloth that will make your table appear blood-splattered with ‘No One Leaves’ written in blood for a real sinister touch!

Greet Your Guests

Now you’ve got all the food and drink ready and prepped, it’s time to greet those guests in the most spooktacular way possible! Save time on carving pumpkins by displaying our gorgeous copper-effect terracotta pumpkins on your doorstop, and use them again year after year. Start your party off with a bang by terrifying guests with our Halloween electronic doorbell. As they push the button to ring the bell, a creepy tongue will drop down and touch their finger. A guaranteed fright inducer! And for the ultimate welcome once they manage to make it inside, keep up the scares by setting up our six- foot talking reaper by the front door.
